New location opened November 29, 2004
After years of trials & tribulations, BLAM Ju-Jitsu Center has finally found a home fitting of its needs and service to the community. With the keys being handed to World Champion, Taishi Vernon Jones Jr., on November 17th, 2004, the location formerly known as Paramount Gym, was transformed and ready for its first class by November 29th, 2004.
The new address is 18763 SW 107th Ave (Marlin Road), located in the plaza across from where BLAM was located years ago. Neighboring businesses that have welcomed them back include: Real Way School Supply, Bargain Beverages, Captain Jimmy's Sub Shop, B.J.'s Wholesale Club and The Home Depot.
The hours of the new location are from 2:00 - 9:00 PM (Monday - Friday). The complete family program includes: After School Tutoring & Karate, Free Transportation from over 25 local Grade Schools, Summer Camp, Teacher Work Day Camps and Winter/Spring Recess Camps.
Parents and students are delighted that with the move to this 6000+ square feet facility, All of the classes are once again personally taught by Taishi himself.
The schedule of classes include: Little Dragons (Ages 3-6: T/W/F), Kids Beginners Class (Ages 7-11: T/Th/F), Kids Advanced Class (Ages 7-11: M/W/F), Family Beginner Class (Ages 12 & Up: T/Th/F) and Family Advanced Class (Ages 12 & Up: M/W/F). Team Fighting Class is now being led by National Champion, Sensei Raul "Chino" Diaz.
We have recently added a Hip Hop Dance & Aerobics Classes to the schedule being taught by “Rashad”. Rashad’s teaching skills and personal resume have lead him to: B.E.T. Sound stage, Numerous Music Videos, Da Roof on Telemundo, Numerous Live Performance Arenas, The Miami Heat Dancers & he was also an instructor at L.A. Fitness.
All returning & transfer students can expect their first month FREE! So now is the time to get back into class or bring a friend who has studied elsewhere. All transfer students will have their rank honored until they match our current rank requirements for their equivalent rank.
Also, we have extended our Parent Train for Life Special! Yes, you read correctly, now is the time for parents and their children to bond on a complete level for the same price as the children training alone. There no excuses! Spend quality time together. “A family that trains together stays together”.
Not many schools have so much to be thankful for and be proud of and as a BLAM Family Friend or Member, you have more than you might realize.
